"Lucky Pigs" is the name given to our Winnebago motor-home by the previous owners who had friends from New Zealand who used to call them "Lucky Pegs" because they were living and traveling in the Winnebago around Australia as we are now doing. "Lucky Pigs" in New Zealand are equivalent to "Lucky Buggers" here in Australia. We decided to keep the existing name after purchasing it in February 2010.

TULLY
Today Lesley had a rest day and did some washing and Peter did some voluntary work for BlazeAid down near Mission Beach South. We are taking some time off from voluntary work for BlazeAid starting tomorrow as we have been asked to look after a property owned by Bill & Lyn down near Cardwell as they have to travel south to Townsville for a few days. After this we will venture northwards towards Cairns and Mareeba as a local chapter of our motor-home club are having an event called "Xmas in July" at Mareeba at the end of July. Tully is surrounded by Banana plantations (photo) and as a lot of them were damaged by Cyclone Yasi some will take awhile before they are producing bananas again.
